The Imposter

by Djemima

Why do you pretend to be something you are not is the question that echoed out within my head as I laid there in the cold. It was clear that they had discovered that I wasn’t truly who I was and all the things I did were just luck. And just as luck fades so did my great feats of intelligence. They faded out leaving me blank and in a haze of panic.

Katie and Siciley V3: No Greater Love

by Angela Santistevan

She couldn’t stop grinning. Unaware of the fact that she was, Katie also couldn’t stop singing. It was one of the songs the Sheriff liked so much, “Everyday it’s getting closer, mmm hmm, it’s getting closer, going faster than a roller coaster…” She couldn’t help herself, Katie was over the top on this one, she was practically bursting with anticipation. “What a day!” Katie had to get on her tiptoes to sit on her bike, after that it was cake, just balancing and pedaling. The Gift of Light

by Neesa Suncheuri

I’m at my psychiatrist’s office for a routine visit.  I go every four weeks, mostly to get my prescriptions.  I haven’t changed my medication dosages in months.

“Hello, Neesa, how are you?”

“I’m doing really well!”  A smile on my face.  “Last week, something amazing happened to me.  I’ve become a Christian!”
